A Design Intern for Winter 2026

You might be in school or have recently graduated with a degree in brand design, experience design, UX or UI design, service design, or communications design.
We are on the lookout for talented designers interested in a winter internship from January to April 2026. We are accepting applications through November 21st.

Interns join Other Tomorrows to learn, chip in, have fun, and inspire us by providing a fresh perspective. Interns often join project teams, work on concept projects, and help with internal initiatives. Whatever the role, there is always plenty to learn working alongside our small multi-disciplinary team.

ABOUT YOU

Your core skill set is grounded in stunning design execution. You’re excited to be a hybrid designer who loves to stretch. You are able and excited to flex seamlessly between strategic design thinking, beautiful visual design, and whatever other project challenges come our way. You are excited to be part of a small but passionate team dedicated to growing a culture-first strategic design studio. Most importantly you are scrappy, open minded, excited for every opportunity, and ready to jump in to help solve whatever design challenges come your way.

What You'll be Doing

-Collaborate with strategists, designers, developers, and client teams to learn, design, and develop strategies based on human insights.​

-Consistently produce high-quality designs that bring a compelling experience to life.

-Stay current on and share best practices and design trends that inspire yourself and the team.

-Participate in ethnographic, quantitative, and usability research and document findings for knowledge sharing.

-Collaborate on multiple, concurrent, and complex projects at various phases in their lifecycle, responding quickly to shifting priorities, to help ensure compelling work.

-Proactively jump in wherever you're needed - we love a good entrepreneurial spirit.

-Learn, grow, ask questions. Have fun with us!

Your Experience

-Have 0-3 years of design experience (The right attitude is as important as work experience or degrees)

-Training in a design program or alternative (degree program, certificate program, bootcamp

)-An understanding of best design practices and tools, including, but not limited to, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.

-Strong attention to detail and command of the nuances of the English language

-Excellent visual and verbal communication skills-You can tell a great story

-Have the ability to travel for research and client meetings if the opportunity arises

-Are authorized to work in the United States-Currently residing in or willing to relocate to the Boston area to work in person 3+ days per week (Other Tomorrows is a hybrid remote/in-person studio)

SALARY & LEVEL

This position is for a full-time internship at Other Tomorrows lasting approximately 3-4 months, January to April 2026. If this timeline doesn’t work with your degree or program, please keep us in mind for future intern programs—we will begin searching for Summer 2026 interns in late March.

Pay: $30/hr
